Ripping from a DVD?

Post by I3lade203 »

Something I need help with despretly.. I've asked a bunch of people, but nobody seems to know .. How can I take a DVD , and not burn it ( Becuase I know how to do that ) but take an actual soundtrack layer with sound effects on it, and just take them apart to have a sound effect? If anyone knows, thanks.

Yeah, use SmartRipper, and select the chapter(s) you want to rip, but just rip the 5.1 sound. Then use a program called Soft Encode to render each track to a wav file.

You can only do that if the 5.1 mix has the music in the front left & right speakers & the sounds and dialogue in the centre speaker (most new films do)
