muffling audio

muffling audio
I need to muffle my audio and make it sound like your underwater, or unconcious. anyone got any ideas?

if u have premiere pro (and it might be in 6.5 as well not sure), look under audio effects for reverb and play with that for a bit. in premiere pro it sets up a virtual room that you can adjust the size, density, absorbtion and delay for. you can also make it only absorb certain frequencies (like absorbing the midrange for example). i use this effect for almost every sound effect i use, to make it fit in with its environment
