Problem with Windows Media

Hey everyone,
for some reason, windows media isnt playing with any sound. I'm sure everything is hooked up right, and the volume on the speakers and the program is on.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Try restarting your computer, if it still doesn't play with sound, then reinstall it or check windows update, and then if you still have a problem, you will have to ask someone thats more computerly skilled than me.

is it with everything you try to play? because it may be that you just didnt have the codec for something. other that i say just reinstall it since that doesnt take that much work

Thanks, well my cousin who is a comp freak came over today so he fixed it in about 5 mins.

EDIT: BTW it was with everything i tried to play.
