Ive listened to some from the website, theyre all really good and sound professional, i love the day off, if that was a bit slower it would be perfect for my films, just the right type, are these pieces of music copyrighted?

I already emailed another composer, but i dont see a problem in having 2, obviously i cant pay you, im no budget so no contract etc. and i might not need music for half a year or something, but if you are interested in being ready to compose for my films (usually, action, suspense, tragedy and death related) id definitely be interested.

Just to answer your "are these pieces of music copyrighted?" question...

Copyright law states that as soon as an original work is put down in some sort of format, it is by definition copyrighted. So any music that's been put to tape, or disc, or written on paper is copyrighted. Also our movies - as soon as they're on tape they're copyrighted. You used to have to register, but no longer.

As an aside, I know for sure that in the U.S. that's the law. I'm not 100% positive that that's also international law, but I'm pretty sure it is.

Well, it is copyrighted, in that I own the music and the rights to it all. However, I don't expect to make any cash off of it, and really, I just wanna contribute, so help yourself to whatever's there, and feel free to use me for whatever you need, I don't mind putting together some custom stuff, (Not to toot my own horn, but my studio kicks a**!) and I can do it quickly and professionally. Thanks for the interest! I think this could be a lot of fun!

My rules are;

1) If you pay me to do something; No prob. You now own it, and all aspects of it.

2) If you 'borrow' my stuff, don't be suprised if you hear it elsewhere, too. I collaborate regularly and keep an 'open source' mentality about my music...

3) If you borrow my stuff, contact me and let me know, just so I know what's going on, and also make sure to give me credit for composition (If you can) , and tell your film-making/game-designing friends... heh

4) My music is free, but hey... donations of any size or type are always welcome, you know how it is... heh

5) If one of your films goes somewhere, and it happens to have my music in it, don't worry, I won't be coming after you for royalties and stuff; I'll leave that to your discretion... But please, do drop my name, and give me credit for my stuff, really that's all I want.

6)It's open source, so go for it. If I don't have a 'mood piece' you're looking for, lemme know. Maybe I can come up with something, it doesn't have to always have guitar in it...

7) I like composing stuff, and especially custom music, so don't be afraid to ask; I'll do it for free, and you can use the music for whatever you want, just keep in mind that I'll be using it for whatever I want, too...
So with that said, have at it; you have my permission

Oh yeah, I also want a copy of the film if possible if it has my music on it... But whatever... I just wanna jam, so whatever... anything goes!

Thanks, and I look forward to working with a bunch of you guys!

would you be interested in doing the music for an entire film. I have been looking for a place to turn for music, once I finish the movie that I am working on now, which should be done in like mid August.
