video card mem and dual monitors
i know that when you have a single video card and have two monitors running from that one card it splits the memory between the monitors. so since i have a 128mb card, i really only get 64mb performance per monitor. so if i am playing a game or something and i want just that one monitor to use all the memory, what do i have to do? can i simply turn off the monitor? do i have to unplug it from the computer? also what is the difference between a video card and a graphics card, arent they the same thing?

They are the same thing as far as i know. To switch mem from 2 monitors to 1, right click on the desktop, select properties, and go to settings. Select the secondary monitor from the list, and uncheck the box that says "extend my winows desktop onto this monitor". After u click ok, the monitor should go blank. Turn it off, and then just use the one monitor. All graphics card based memory should be used for that monitor.
