yeah sometimes i go to the shooting range thingy so i was wondering if it would be possible to record the sounds of the gunshot, how would i do this? cause obviously its kinda loud so would i have to be really far away or something? also if i can i want to get the video also if they'll let me

turn your sound recording equipment right down.

Then fire shots uptill you get the levels just right.

You may even want to attach a sound compressor before the recorder. We have a nice stereo one we use for backup cd recording. The only catch is they are very expensive, relatively.

The gain should be fairly low for the recording. It's so quick and you don't want it to go over the db level!

I got sounds of my SKS with my camera from about 10ft away and it was fine. You dont have to do anything special, just play with it...

it really depends on the gun that you want to get the sound from. A 12 gauge shotgun is going to be much louder than a .22 so you will have to adjust for each gun.

ill try. i proibably wont go for awhile tho, but when i go ill make sure to try out everything and hope for the best. ill probably wait till i get some new glasses cause my vision sucks and last ime i went i could barely see the target lol
