Encore problem with highlights

Post by Syras »

i'm making the menus for a dvd and i wanted to put a subtle highlight in for the buttons. this isnt possible due to the 2 bit restriction on highlights (as mentioned in the manual). has anyone worked out a way around this (other than using a solid shape)

Can you make the buttons in photoshop and export them into encore? For some reason I thought
you could do all of your imagery in photoshop and AE and then build it as a DVD menu in
Encore.

you can and thats how i'm making the menu but theres a 2 bit restriction to highlights meaning they have to be solid colours (like no shading). i wondered if anyone had come up with anything inventive to get around it

maybe try making the highlight adn then exporting it as an image and then using that image as the highlight.. i'm just assuming that your 'painting' the highlights with colors?
