Post by Truggy »

Ok, on lycos.co.uk i went to update my website with my movies on it...My java sucks a** and i have this version:

Java 2 runtime environment, SE v1.4.1_02

Thats what i have now

I just downloaded msjavx86.exe (thats the microsoft java)....If i install this will this install over that version of java, or do i remove the

Java 2 runtime environment, SE v1.4.1_02 then install the other one, or which one? Thanx!

EDIT- I got one called Java Web Start also...which one do i remove, and which one can i keep on there. Because i dont want something screwing up tho i dont want my web-builder to keep freezeing

Install the MS hjava VM alongside the Sun Java, IE will use the MS HVM byb default, which is IMO much smoother running in IE than Sun's... go figure... PS it's not that Sun's Java sucks, it's the way MS implements it in IE... imagine that, an MS application that doesn't run third party software well... almost like it was by design... actually it prolly was :) thanks Bill!
