Ya, just get some black or dark green trench coats, and helmets, and then add a thick waist belt, and a shoulder strap if possible. Also just get pouches and bags that look WWII period....the more the merrier.

I just threw this together. Trenchcoat, pants, boots, hat, and camera bag.

Yes, I would go to a place that sells cheap work coats and/or shirts and ger as many dark grey ones as you can. Check the WWII props thread for a ton of info....

What also works and can be VERY cheap at times is get some camoflage. Germans had camo back then and towards the end of the war used it extensively, so if you buy a camo poncho, put a belt around it, and then get a helmet and gun you should be set...

German, or american?

There's this one site where you can get 3 german helmets (in mediocre to poor condition) for 45$. I got 4 american helmets for 5$ each, but it was really only a rare opportunity... Usually they go for 10 minimum.

Yes, and it is your duty to pass it along once again!

I still haven't ordered any. Then again I really haven't a need for them yet. I might in good time.

At my local market, they sell a german helmet. 6 pounds. Its pretty well hidden behind all his other stuff - seems to me he dont want people to see the helmet. A G.I. helmet 6 quid aswell - I got it :D In the same market they were selling waffen SS camo fielp caps 3 for a pound, and a french adrian helmet 8 pounds! Put I missed the oppertunity on that, and never saw it again :'(
