New tutorial based on the brick I made for a scene in Hollow Point.
How To Make A Fake Brick
Bouncing a real brick of my windscreen was not an option
The brick was designed to look good on film bouncing off the car at high speed ... NOT look good up close. That's my excuse anyway ...

Matt, most joke shops sell fake bricks. You could have saved yourself some work.

From the sounds of things, no. But my local dollar store is equipped with about a thousand different, and very realistic, toy guns. Most of 'em don't even have that orange tip thingy!

I watched Hollow Point and saw the brick. Nice, but why have a brick in your car? Maybe put it on the accelerator if your foot falls asleep.
If it can be written, or thought, it can be filmed.

Depends on your film, your scene and the effect you are after. Remember that knowledge is power
