MP3 player won't sync with PC

Post by U.S.Amateurfilmaker »

I know this is a little OT, but I can't get WMP 9 or Music Match to sync with my Rio 600. Everytime I plug it in, the comp detects it, but half the time Win Media 9 doesn't recognize it. When it does, it freezes as soon as it tyrs to sync with it. I did a defrag, ran Norton win Doctor, and installed updates, and nothing works.

The funny thing is, I tried it on my brother's computer (which is older, but still has win XP) and it worked great. What's going on?

Uh....your last post is a little hard to understand, but... Win media 9 is what is causing the problem I think, because another computer with Win Media XP syncs fine.

I found the problem guys, it was the fct that my HD was so fragmented, because the program I was using to defrag wasn't defraging all the way. I used the windows one and now it works fine!
