Downloading films from the site and watching them

Post by mistermo »

hey guys prob a stupid question but im just looking to download some of the films from this page for a bit of a look.......wen i download them they just come up in winamp and play the audio (sometimes if at all). I'm wondering what program to use and how to set my computer so it automatically plays the file on the media player when i click on the file. cheers!

depends on what preferences you have given your associated players i guess. With XP you should be able to right click the file and changes the "open with" option to always open with your choice player I think

You will have to wait until the download completes before the medial player will play anything, so be patient. It's best just to download to hard drive, and you can always delete the file after if you don't want it.

Then you also need to update your codecs. Go to the Microsoft Windows Update facility, and make sure you have the latest player version and updates. If it's an unusual Codec, open it up on Quicktime, and it'll tell you the Codec name, you can then do a search for the Codec name, and find a site to download it from.
