HELP WITH MUZZLE FLASH

Right ok so we shot the footage and uploaded it on to adobe premier 6.0 followed all of matts instructions,yet th emuzzle doesn't go transparcy,wehn i click lumiance it goes invisble you cant see it,can anybody help me with this
