This is a tutorial I made for Muzzle flashes. Just export the frame you want to add the flash to, use the tutorial and then import the frame back into your video editing program. This is my first Tutorial and lots more to come. Hope you use this. Also if you see anyway better to improve it or just any comments e-mail me at

Special Note: Just unzip all the files to any directroy, and it will put the images in its own folder.
Enjoy!

No, I asked you to give me a refreshing drink. I wasn't expecting a
f**king rainforest; you could fall in love with an orang-utan in that.

The method is great. But why do that time-consuming one when we could just use a bunch of muzzle-flashes against a keyed background from this site or Detonation films?
Thanks for writing the tutorial. It's easy and comprehensive

I always liked the idea of making my own flashes.

Am I the only one that thinks the muzzle flashes look bad (or not good, rather)?

Do everyone usually add muzzle flashes by Photoshop or by Premiere?

One question, if I was to add the muzzle flash by Photoshop, would it look better if I add it to one frame or two frames in a row? What would look the best, make it a realistic length...

one frame is best, considering that in RL you normally dont see the flash anyway

Just DL the muzzleflash pics off this site and use them! they look better and are less time consuming!
