I Need Help With Effects

Ok,

I wanna make a Final Fantasy movie thing. This is an example: I want to model this with 3dMax: http://www.ffx2.net/images/media/fmv/132.jpg (without the character), after I finished modeling that in 3dmax, is it possible for me to shoot real video on a green screen, then import it on the 3dmax background model? And would it look stupid if it did work?
I also wanna know about the size conditions, like what if I was shooting a scene close up, would I have to model a closer view of the background I want for the scene.

What you'd do is model that in 3D S Max, then render it then film shoot real video against a green then put the 3D Render into Premiere or a similar editing program and place the real video in an overlay track and key out the greenscreen there, if done properly, it will look good.

if it's shot on a greenscreen it doesn't matter, because you can easily resize it later.
