hehe, gonna try this at the weekend (I love asking for obscure items from maplins. I once went in, and asked for a switch you flick. He spent 1/2 an hour looking for them all, then I decided I needed a push to make )

Yes, an effect is 25% looks 35% sound 30% lighting and 10% acting

KK, Ive made it (with 4x D batteries) but after about 4 goes, the wire has burnt out and the batteries ran out


NOTE TO ALL! Car batteries are the most efficient power source for this

EDIT: D size batt's and smaller do work, U jus need to make sure the 'fuse' wire is long (the less power, the longer the fuse)

put the cap bomb (with elekric detonation) in a small pipe and push it down the ground so it doesn't show then put sand in the pipe when it blows, if made corektly, sand will fly pretty well up in the air ps. if my english isn't that good you should konw i am from finland and i speak swedish

BTW, Im gonna try this with 'supermatic strip' caps later on in the week (theyre like the paper rolls, but rather tthan poofty little circles, they are bit chunky blobs that stick out

Hey cam club, would this work for squibs as well? I really wanted to know how to MAKE some slightly safe but virtually cheap squibs. Pm me if you could about it.

If you need safety, try not to use explosives. Squibs can be very dangerous...
Rocket engines/detonators would work for explosives, and are relatively inexpensive.
