Video Capturing Software for Computer

Post by 2nd_Recon »

I would like to know if there are any programs available that would let me capture what's going on on the screen. I tried a program called FRAPPS 2.0, and it killed my framerate down to abotu 5 fps. Are there any others out there that you would recomend?

I tried Camstudio, that was even worse. It saved a huge file, and had horrednus framerate (I bet it was 3 fps or slower)

any screen capture software you use is going to drag your framerate down. It has to take individual shots of each frame and write them to the hard drive. The actual movie playback will be plenty fast. FRAPS is your best bet.

It depends on what program I'm trying to run, but my framerate with FRAPPS is always between 10 and 2 FPS, and 10 was when I was just standing there. I heard that there was some at the store, but I don't know if they will work, and they cost alot.
