Well not having a green screen im not sure how to , but i posted a while back its done with green screening and keying with affter effeccts im sure of that, once i get a green screen ill read some tutorials and figure it out, i think what you do is you film the background with you in it then you film the green screen with you and key them together or something like that

Yup. Rayn did that eniterly with animated masks.
'course ... Rayn's a bit of a special case.
His work caught the eye of LucasArts and he works there now.

insert .... have you seen his latest lightsaber battle clip - ryan vs dorkman???

its awesome!!! check it out...

anyway - what you call 'simple stuff' - at the end of the day you must know how long it would have taken him to make that clip - keying in all the saber blades and everhting else - that takes dedication which is a quility in itself.

If you browes around his site, you'll find that he actually produced a number of specials while in high school for HBO's KidFlicks series.

Overall, his site shows a dedication to the art, the ablilty to see things through to completion and get the job done and a propencity to learn (and teach) new concepts and technologies.
Pretty good qualities to look for when hiring digital effects artists.

If I remember correctly, he was hired over the summer and started there in September.
One of his early assigments was to attend Maya training. Work sucks, eh.
