Whiteout

Post by El-Mariachi »

In my film i have a huge nuke style explosion go off and i want the entire screen to quickly but gradually white out....I know it must be incredibly easy to do i can figure it out. I tried using the rubber bands to adjust the brightness and contrast right at the end of the clip but it won't let me move them.....any ideas lads?

Cheers

Just put on an effect called brightness and move the timeline cursor to the beginning of your clip. In the Effect Control window click the watch next to the brighness effect. Then make sure brightness is set to 0 at the beginning of the clip. Move the timeline cursor to the end of the clip and increase the brightness to maximum. Hit enter and let it render, then check if everything is okay..

Or you could create a white image and fade to it using a normal crossfade transition..

An additive crossfade to white might give you the desired effect :)
