BBC weather blank map

does anyone know where i can find a BLANK map of the UK which is used on BBC weather? it's for a new film to be made soon

Emailing them? I'm not sure that's the way to go. That stuff is most likely copyrighted, so they probably won't be willing. But I guess if your are realy lucky they just might consider, but I still doubt it. Try looking uder Google image search for UK blank Map. I;m sure they have plenty, and you may find one that looks similar

Just photoshop out the text! Although you'd be better off creating your own from scratch.

yes ornsack i've seen that map - and thats exactly how i want it to look but without the text - i dont know how easy it'll be to take out the text - i might give it a go though. i've emailed the bbc - after all it's for a school project

i dont think it would be that difficult to take out the text. i do that kind of stuff all the time.

ok i just fooled around with it a little bit. it's not finished yet but this is what i have so far.

i'm also filling in land where the bar at the bottom used to be. What do you think of it so far?

yeah but the bottom still needs some touch up. it doesn't look convincing yet.

That's a really nice job! The bottom is convincing I think you've just looked at it for far too long

It wouldn't be convincing if you started plonking sunshine logos on top of the UK however...

btw - funny u shud mention that ornsack coz thats what i did plan to do!!

- as part of a movie i want a weather report to come on tv showing that the weather is all sunny everywhere...! Anyway i've uplaoded a short clip (- not moving) of the background with the suns and bottom text done in premiere. here - just a few kbs

yea ino sorry - i just did that too see how it fitted in a video clip!

iv also finished making my BBC NEWS background - gona bluescreen onto it soon
