The Aura from Lightsabers
In photoshop, how do I keep the aura from a lightsaber from going into the next frame?
Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!
You don't need a parachute to go skydiving. You only need a parachute to go skydiving twice.

no no no no no. I mean, when you have a closeup with the lightsaber near the edge of the screen, how do you keep the aura from it from moving on into the frame next to, above, or below it?

You Can't!!!
I remember when i used Photoshop, i had to manually erase the auras from the top & bottom of each frame.
Get After Effects, i can't stress enough how much flexibility the program has for Lightsabers. For example, when we made Castaway, i decided after i'd finished the sabers, that the colours weren't bright enough so i just loaded the saved files back into After Effects & changed the colours.
When you make a colour choice in Photoshop it's perminent.
