Real Movie Smoke
Here is a video i made earlier, it is a short guide and video demonstration on how to make smoke. The effect can be used to simulate a burning vehicle, smoke grenade in a war film, eerie fog or poisionous gas.
I would like to add that this is will make real smoke, that is NOT harmful to inhale, is NOT a bomb, and will NOT explode. However, once it starts burning, you will not be able to put it out until it burns itself out (usually 30-60 seconds) So DO NOT use in an enclosed space, DO NOT Ignite unless you are perfectly sure you have the right area to use, DO NOT use as a prank in a public place, and DO NOT abuse this guide for anything illegal, It is strictly for the purpose of film making.

I thought that covered the fact it burns. The baked bean can is usually tough enough to use but the cupcake holders are usually for real small smoke effects that burn out in 10 seconds, however Its not for indoor usevideofxuniverse wrote: once it starts burning, you will not be able to put it out until it burns itself out (usually 30-60 seconds)
It was a video i filmed back in 2004 I just thought I would do something with it. Ideally i should have done a full tutorial video with a camcorder, showing you how its done.puje wrote:Nice, but what's the deal with the phone camera?

i would like to add, that if you buy it, be careful because potassium nitrate is on the government watch list for bomb making. I hope anyone here isn't stupid enough to make such a thing, but obviously if you need to get hold of it from the proper channels make sure you are Very clear on the reason on why you need it is strictly for film making only. This will clear up a lot of suspicions.

Salt peter is a basic ingredient used for igniting fires and explosives. Use with extreme caution.
Not to mention, this is a pyrotechnic and you could potentially be arrested if caught with it in most places. It is wise to talk with your local fire department before attempting to use for a production.
