bullet-proof vest
anyone kno where or how i could get/make one cheap?
Take a look at this page: http://www.airsoftatlanta.com/tactical.htm
I think they sell some fake Kelvar vests and such, but only if you're willing to shell out a good deal of money for them.

American policeman wear kevlar vests under their uniforms.DEDFX wrote:I don't think finding a cheap one is a good idea nor is making one, I'm pretty sure you can't buy it anywhere legally because it could give you an advantage against armed policemen.
You can definately buy them. You can buy up to class 4 for sure. But it's not cheap.
Surplus (vietnam) vest would cost up to like 100 bucks a piece, I think.

Did you want it to actually be bullet proof or just to look like one?

This is a military MOLLE vest. It has pouches inside that marines slip in Kevlar Plates. So it could be bullet proof, but if you need it just for a prop then its perfect and cheap.

Of course the cheap ones are not actually bullet proof. The are look-alike replicas (toys) that are dirt cheap. Why don't we just buy the real ones? Because they cost around $300 USED.
