Non violent film fest
So I had an idea when we were having the long gun debates, people saying they are evil etc and then churning out really violent movies. So this idea hatched in my head. How about we do a small contest where every body intersted trys to submit a shot non-violent movie. No guns no knives, swords explotions, death, destruction, etc. Just to see if we can do it anybody intersted?

Hmm...on one hand, it seems like an excellent way for people to look beyond gore and special effects and actually try to develop great stories with three-dimensional characters.
On the other hand, it also seems like giving in to the anti-gun peacenik fanatics. Therefore I will forego this little experiment and keep on making films with "evil" guns in them.

As on of the leaders of the "not an anti-gun peacenik fanatics" I have to say this experament is more to see if people can do it, mostly I wonder if the anti-gun peacenik fanatics can.KultFilmsEntertainment wrote:Hmm...on one hand, it seems like an excellent way for people to look beyond gore and special effects and actually try to develop great stories with three-dimensional characters.

Amateur dramas don't suck. This film was made in a week with iMovie and I think it's pretty stellar.rhys wrote:Amature drama movies suck.
Why hasn't anyone ever done a romance? Too manly? Too private? No girlfriends? No boyfriends?

By the way, I think you just set yourself up for a romance film.
EDIT: Nevermind, I just remembered a Bum gets shanked.
Uh, i dont have a girlfriend or a boyfriend.. :'(... but i'll try. IF MY CAMCORDER WORKS.... It has some stupid dew error message. And when it goes away it just chews up my tapes. Damn sharp and there horrible video cameras.Kentertainment wrote:[ I think you just set yourself up for a romance film.]
Hide or fight for your life?
I think you'll find the people who want to keep guns are the war loving fanatics. But we'll drop that subject, because I know it is touchy for some people. On the other hand, it also seems like giving in to the anti-gun peacenik fanatics. This sounds interesting. It isn't that hard, though, to make a film without violence or guns or whatever (comedy being the obvious option for most filmmakers on this forum). Anyway, i'm afraid I'm skipping this one, I jsut don't have the time.
That film, Snooze, is great, by the way!
