Ah yes, I remember this when you first posted the trailer. It looks really well made. Unfortunately I couldn't view the clip because it is a "Malformed video ID"

Congrats on the film, and it is a massive achievement to make a feature with such little money - lol i wouldnt go around saying it cost $600 though (I mean you have to figure in the value of your time into that budget.)

TIME IS NEVER FREE! Its just bad practice for indy film producers to value there films ignoring the financial value of their contributers and cast (even if they are friends and family) it is also just looks completely amatuerish to anyone with experience when an indy producer says - oh yeah made it for $5 and a can of soda etc.
That said i think your film is looking great mate, so i don't mean it to its detriment, but the value of your film when you tell it - is not just its financial cost in capitol, it is based on its production value.
Simple term - "Just becasue someone gives you a bar of gold for free doesn't make it worthless"

But gold is gold. You can by gold. Although you can buy time, you can get it for free without any resale value.
It has actual value in any economic system. Time has no value.

Yeah i think the point was lost on you FFF - point being that films costs don't ignore what you get for free - cos you still spent it. Do you think if Lucas got everyone to volanteer (from cast to crew) and such like, that he would go - wow look what i made for 0 cents - Star Wars VIIVI (or whatever it would be at...) No of course not.
Those indies that blast around tiny budgets in their marketing do so whether their producers realise or not, because its a certain style of marketing chosen by studios for certain low budget films - like El Mariachi (think it cost the 5k or whatever to make the one you saw? No.) Similar comparison is with films that have volanteers, doesnt mean they were 'free' it means they negated wages to contribute, but it doesnt mean their value was nothing. On the contrary that value is added to the films worth (whether they cost that or not.) If sbeck wants to tell punters his film cost $600 to make thats fine, but any professional knows thats BS.
Anyway i'll shut up about this now (FFF i aint saying u cant reply lol) but just that i think ive hijacked this thread long enuf haha

Yeah, That last post of mine was definately a joke... Sorry for any confusion.
But I think everyone got your point, and a great point it was!
Yes, time is a very valuable luxury.
cheers. And once again, great trailer.

By itself, fantastic.
But after the amount of hype the local papers and stations gave it (especially Linda Cook's review,) I'm not really that impressed. I also don't really dig the fact that in every description it's flaunted as a contemporary western, when half the appeal in watching a modern translation of all those old flicks is noticing the parallels yourself.
I'm not trying to be harsh or anything, but I'm more impressed with some of joe's work, and to my knowledge he didn't get much more than an article in the Arts and Leisure section of the QC Times.
