I captured some video at home in Premiere Pro. The program captured video in a format called "Video Clip"
Will this format be compatible with iMovie, as I wish to capture at home, burn video to DVD, then transfer to school.

If it's AVI, then yea, it should work.

I can't tell if its avi. When I hover over the files, they say "Video Clip". No avi, wmv, mov, etc shows up. The files play in Quicktime, so they should work on iMovie?

Depends on the version of iMovie. If it's the latest version of iMovie with iLife, it practically encodes and transfers everything into iMovie. Except for... .WMV I believe.

If you want to make sure, just run it through Windows Movie Maker as an AVI NTSC or PAL what have you.

All else fails just put it in premiere and then export it as an AVI. Lots of memory but it is guarnateed to work.
Who ever said digital is better than film should hang for treason.

Alright, I took the video to school, and iMovie accepted it!
So I guess its compatible - said it was an avi after all.
Thanks for your help
