Getting a Video-Game Look to real footage??

Post by SE7 »

Hey guys... me and a couple of friends were just messing around, and did a little first person shooter styled video.... its kind of a cool little video, and whats sweet is my friend is composing some action-styled music for it... to make it seem like a game. Anyways.... my question is:

Does anyone know how to make video footage look like a video-game???

I have Adobe Premiere Pro, and Adobe After Effects, so it would be easily achievable.... but I just can't figure out anything that makes the footage look like a video game.

Any tips??

Thanks guys...

Cheers,

Tough one. Try stabilising the footage in AE, maybe apply a median filter to iron out noise.

Yeah that is tough. Err...can't really help. I suppose you could add some sort of kinda colour correction...

In some games some of the boojects have an odd exaggerated glow... If you wanted it to look like on the old games it would be easier, just a bit of tweaking with the colour, some pixillation and wacky music (I have old Mario games in mid :D)
