Problem with Adobe Premiere

Post by PapaMurf »

I recently had to reboot my entire computer, so I put everything, including, premier on a portable hard drive. Adobe Premiere works alright, but when I am adding effects like transparency or motion, there is no preview of what it will look like. Theat means I'm editing muzzle flashes and everything blind. Does anyone know how to fix this conundrum?

Find the Adobe resource files (I think) that's where stuff should be located and if it's not there you're in big s***. If you have it legally you could try re-installing AP failing that ring up Adobe and ask them.

It sounds like you have everything in different folders, since you are using an external drive. Perhaps Premiere is simply missing those files when it cannot find the directory they are in.

Check to see if it renders alright. If it does not, that is where your problem might lay. If it renders okay, but you cannot see it in the preview, you may have accidentally altered a setting.

I think the older versions of Premiere only ever rendered fully when exporting - at least in my experience. What version is it you're using?
