Flushing someone down a toilet

Post by DorianRoads »

How would you go about flushing a human down a toilet head first. Obviously, I wouldn't use a wide shot. But spinning legs and what not... how would you do it?

I think the whole thing should be a practical stage and prop.

well, the way I'd like to go about it would to get some kind of wacky setup in which a toilet is on a rised platform, with a hole cut out below the pan so you could fit an actual human down the loo. You might need to enlarg the loo a wee bit or cut out the pan a bit so the man can get down there. You could also make dummy legs and attahc them to a motor below the stage. Turn the motor on and wacth the legs spin! See the colours!
Spare toilets are very easy to find. I can't go approximately 1 mile bfore seeing a loo up some wall or in a ditch. Or you could buy a brand new one. But it should be relatively easy when you get the stuff to set up.
Hope you have fun in the toilet.

I was hoping I wouldn't have to use a stage, but now I do think it is the only option. Thanks for the replies.

Flush a human down a toilet? That would be one huge toilet! Let's be realistic here...

Obviously. Forget about realism for now.

Get a pro editing system like Premiere, Vegas or Final Cut, learn it then we can easily help you out.

A physical way like making a large hole in a toilet, using clever cuts and camera trickery won't make it look that well.

I've got Avid, and I've pretty much mastered it.

Xpress Pro. I also have After Effects, if that helps you (help me). I can barely use it, though.

set up a greenscreen... get a computer chair. wet your actors pants a little. spin him around with his legs in the air. then take a photo of your toilet wall use it as the background. key him out and then you dont even have to show him in the toilet just his legs spinning round. film a cut away of him being pulled down into the toilet.

edit
Muzzle Flashes, Bullet Time, Lightsabers, Buffy Vampire Effects, War Films.... Ahhhhh!

Find yourself a midget and just do it for real...

aaronv2's suggestions are probably the most practical means of accomplishing your goal. I can't think of anything else to add.
