Soul coming out of body effect

Does anyone know how to make a person seemingly pass thru another person, excluding the obvious seventies effect using transparency. Perhaps theres a way to do it with morphing and cloning in aex yes? Thanks in advance

this is where you use the cheesy transparency effect except you gotta rotoscope it to look like a soul emerging. this is where animation experience and artistic licence come into play... if you have a look at harry potter and ron walking through the platform in the first movie or that girl who can walk through walls in xmen 3 all the same technique

Yeah, or like in ghost how he walks through the wall. And also in many other movies.

I find that the best way is to set up a difference matte and use a lot of lighting for the ghos person, and then, using the airbrush tool with a fuzzy circle, cover bits of the person gradually as they go though the wall. Sometimes adding a little etheral trailing stuff can look good as well, especially for spirits and souls.
