Blood Splat, anyone wanna help?

Post by Vor »

Ive noticed that there are many people on these boards into CGI and stuff, i was wondering if maybe someone could create for me a kind of blood splatting onto the screen effect.

If you've happened to play the game, Gears of War, you would know what i mean.

I imagine it being a bunch of blood splatting to the screen and then a few dripping down.

This would not only help me out....but a bunch of other people on the board, who I'm sure....like this kinda stuff?

you cant make that with cg and even if you did it would look horribly fake... get some corn syrup some chocolate sauce and some dishwashing detergent and make your own and put a black sheet behind a window then throw blood at the window
Muzzle Flashes, Bullet Time, Lightsabers, Buffy Vampire Effects, War Films.... Ahhhhh!

Exactly, its a really easy effect. Or if u got a waterproof camera, or some plastic in front of it feel free to just chuck it at that. And why do u need it to be footage, cant u just do that in your movie?

Waterproof casing* isn't needed. Just put a piece of glass infront of your camera and throw blood at it with a neutral color background. Make sure your on manual focus.
