multiple cameras and sound
hey guys im getting to the point in my project where im gonna start editing. Im new to editing and my idea (basic i know) was to lay the sound down for each scene then go about fitting the shots in after, of course making sure mouths are in sync with sound. I was wondering 1) is this the way you guys go about it and 2) do u find it hard to get the sound and shot in sync. Cheers.

RE: multiple cameras and sound
edit together the shots first. it is way easier to cut together your video and then adding your audio.

How are you editing? what on?
If it's pinnacle, premiere or anything like that (I'm assuming you shoot in miniDV) then the sound comes coupled with the video anyway. Just take the sound from that camera the angle from which you're using. The sound'll sound more realistic, the voice and mouth movements will be perfectly synced and you won't spend hours trying to get sound to match video.
If you somehow can't do that then theChad's right - edit sound to visuals, not the other way around unless you work on the Muppett Show but that was different anyway lol
