Question About Letterbox And Anamorphic Widescreen
I have a video that is letterboxed, but was wondering if there is any possible way to make it anamorphic. If this can be done what programs could I do it with and would the quality look like cr**?

RE: Question About Letterbox And Anamorphic Widescreen
Has to have been filmed through an anamorphic lens for it to be anamorphic. (I beleive, don't quote me on it.)

Well, the only method possible if you already have it filmed, is to crop it to the aspect ratio you want.

RE: Question About Letterbox And Anamorphic Widescreen
You can just chop off the letterbox and it'll be anamorphic. However, when you export it, you must ensure that you have it set to read out a pixel aspect ratio of 16:9 (or whatever ratio you're dealing with). It'll still be 720x480, but now it will be read as being 16:9, and will display as such.
Erm... yeah...

Thanks for the responces guys. Out of curiosity, since I used a wide angle lens will that help as far as the picture quality goes besides the image being wider?
OT: And don't worry Epsilon, I still have the intentions of buying some gear from you. Next time we're both on the net at the same time we'll talk about that.
