I just finsish watching evil dead belive it or not, and put on my PC and i got this email, tilted Evil Dead Script CEASE AND DESIST

I first thought it was a hoax but then the way its wrote is clear, says like what he'd say, weird start to the day.

This is the email and below is the email i sent back. I know have his home email address so maybe every cloud has a sliver lining. LOL.


Hi there buddy,
Mr.Campbell here. Bad news. You see, being the co-author and one of
the copyright holders of the Evil Dead script, I gotta say you're in
breach of copyright. Please delete the script ASAP, or else my lawyers
will have to go to work on your a** with a pair of pliers and a
blowtorch.

PS. Sam and I were real interested in your film. You think you can
mail us over a copy? We're in the UK at the moment and we'd love to
take a look at what you can do, maybe we can work together- maybe even
on the Evil Dead remake. Thanks buddy. Look forward to hearing from

Having Sam Raimi's script on my site thought I was paying more of a homage to it, seen as I got it off another site didn't think I was in any breach. I know your just being polite about my film, if you send me a address i'll send you over my short its only 25mins it has many ideas. Ummmmm yeah its not him, trust me. He lives in the same town as I do and I have talked to him and he is a super super nice guy, he wouldn't do that, nor word it that way.
He even signed my copy of Army of Darkness

Unlikely to be genuine. No one is seriously going to consider legal action when their first contact contained implied threats of violence.

Evil Dead is a great film but it is old news. There are millions of sites out there with film scripts and song lyrics so it is unlikely you would be the centre of their attention.

If you ever meet him again ipon you should ask if he ever recieved an e-mail from a Nigel Moran, then the truth will be answered. I'd have to say it's a fake though, can't trust anyone on the internet these days with the sexual predators and what not. I bet somebody here is a sexual predator, dun dun dunnnnnnn.

Yeah he lives right here in the rogue valley, actually he lives in the next town over (5miles) in Jacksonville. He's actually really really cool. He doesn't even mind when you ask him to do some of the cheezy lines from that movie. He was p*** off they didn't ask him to do the vocals in the new video game.
If I get big enough someday I would love to make a movie that has him in it, not sure what I would do at this point, but I would love to do it.

probably just someone who wants to use your script. just cause he gave you all that cr** about plier and a blowtorch makes it even less believing. chances are if it were real, they would contact you in a more personal way because they would want their message to be clear and believable.

thanks guys well ive changed it now, and he replied saying i was only joking so it was a prank, what a nob. I have a contact book with loads of names and address of celebies Bruce is in it, be funny if the address in the book wasnt his, seen as you know where he lives.
