Isolating vocals in a piece of music?

Post by John Groshko »

Does anybody know how to isolate the vocals in a piece of music? I use Adobe Audition for most of my music editing, and I know how to remove the vocal from music; but does anybody know how you can isolate the vocals and remove the music instead?

Thanks,

I think so. If you can isolate the instrumental music, why can't you isolate the vocals?

How would you do it with that Truggy? I can't for the life of me figure it out.

Thanks for the link; but I've downloaded the program and I've tested some stuff out, and I can't seem to find out how your're supposed to isolate vocals with it. It dosen't even seem to let you do channel mixing with it. Are you sure that Audacity can do this?
