Squibs.....on the ground

Post by Almondo99 »

In my WW2 movie a guy runs along a dirt road and i need bullets to go off. They won't be on him just on the ground. Is there a way to do this easily and cheap with caps? A nail board would be good....
I just don't know how to detonate them

Use a multi-valve air pressure system. Watch the special features on "We Were Soldiers" to get an idea about what I'm saying. (Watch close, it's only in scene for a couple of seconds.)
Losing consciousness,

I find only peace.

for the really REALLY cheap version, simply half-burry a board in the ground (Preferably sand) and have your actor stand on the un-burried part. It will lever over and throw the dirt on top of it into the air

WARNING: Anyone who knows of this technique will be able to tell thats exactly how you did it, though

Yea but you need a license to be able to use squibs, because they are explosives.
