question about a blood pump

Post by sneakybird »

Ok, i have an awesome idea for a shot, and i need to use a blood pump shooter (like on that one dude's tutorial that uses a pesticide pump) The thing is, i cant find a pesticide pump sprayer like that ANYWHERE. mabey it is because that tutorial is kindof old and so they dont make pesticide sprayers like that.

Here is my question, does anyone have any ideas of what i could use to put blood and gore inside, and then when i pull a trigger or push a button, it sprayes through a cleverly hidden tube, and blows out behind the actor's head resembling a head shot?

Thanks very much,
-Chris

pesticide sprayers are very common... where do you live? do you have a home depot or a wal mart near you? or a hardware store? how about a lawn& garden center?

here is one similar to the one used in the eejit's guide tutorial: it is a small hand pump style sprayer it is $7.99, you could even order one....

go to www.homedepot.com
at the top right there is a search function
enter this number: 130302
click "search"
"ORGANIZE BEFORE THEY RISE..."

you COULD use the syringe method, but that's not THAT realistic. More for arterial squirts... syringe w/tube filled w/fake blood.

nice! yeah, i looked around home depo for 2 hours looking for the right one. the problem was that they all had the trigger at the end of the tube. Ill probably go in and ask for this one

http://www.homedepot.com/prel80/HDUS/EN ... 0&MID=9876

if they dont have it, ill order it online. do you think it can shoot pretty powerfully? or at least enough to shoot the and sponge out?

You guys are awesome,

Yes, yes they can. I've shot blood in excess of 15 feet.

You can also use a fire extinguisher. Course they cost about $100 +.
