Film Topic - War flick

Post by tallman_house_pictures »

Hey guys, I need a title for my film.
It's about a squad of american infantry at the battle of the bulge that are assigned to hold a flank of a village. I've had a mental block, and havent been able to come up with much yet.
So far:
"Our war"
"the last defence"

(Yeah, pretty crappy)

Any sugestions?
I have a teaser all set to put up, just need to find a good title and insert it.

I like it, and I allso like names that don't go the way ya think.

Reservoir Dogs, what the hell does that have to do with the movie, but hey I love that flick.

Of Mice And Men, same thing but it tells you this is like good jazz, not rap.

Apocalypse Now, this to me sounds like what it is, just the short way to say it.

I was the one that told ya it sounded like a dick attack...so heres some ideas... idk, battle of the bulde isnt that sexual, just way to general... unless your gonna have a flick 3 1/2 hours long (saving private ryancaugh) with over 300 guys casted, you gotta be more specific... I did a little research on it, these were some of the places smaller battles took place on...

-Ardennes Forest
-Malmedy Massacre
-106th Infantry Division
-Meuse River
-Antwerp

Making these places known through the video, will prolly interest your viewer a little more then say something they already know about... Something new and original...
Make sure to post the trailer when its done...

Bloodshed? ( simple, mabye not exactly relating to the film, but gives a good point and short + easy to remember..)

I've got a better idea. Whats the name of the village? You could base the name of the film of the name of the village, or possibly even name the film the name of the village.

By the way - a good idea if your having a mental block, even if you see a lot of these names and think of them as something you wouldn't use, complie a big list of everyones ideas. Look at all of them, and see if anything comes to you.

That sounds like the name of a painfully boring kids game. I can just hear my grade three teacher saying it: "Okay children, time for Innovative Word Fun!"

Oh wow! A war film! I haven't seen one in ages!

A title isn't just another something you just slap onto a hard worked, devoted film you put effort into. Begging others for something isn't going to help you in the long run. You are just taking the easy way out. ;) It should be YOUR honor to give it a name. Give it meaning.

Or you could just begin and eventually it will come to you. Ask your friends they will have even worse ideas. Thats a laugh. Anyways heres some:

Valor Village

Team Work

You know you could also use the name of the village or name of the characters in your film. Example:

Saving Private Ryan

Christmas With The Kranks

Casper - The Friendly Ghost

I dont know buddy, It's up to you!
