NEW AMATEUR COMMERCIAL - 16 seconds of fame
Well, I've decided to launch my first 16 seconds of film; a (dutch with english subtitles) small commercial. I tried to make something funny out of it, but it is really just some practise for my next (10!) commercials and 30-minute film:
Losse Flodder: License to Drive
I made it with Vegas 4 and Audacity, thanks to myself for great acting.... uhm... and whoever made the Simcity4 music
-------------->Enjoy!<--------------

So, what exactly is it advertising?

Well, here in holland we've had a government campaign against throwing garbage on the street with the slogan 'met hetzelfde gemak gooi je het in de afvalbak' which translates into something like 'it's just as easy to throw it in the garbage can'. I've parodied it into 'met hetzelfde gemak gooi je het van het dak' which is funny as is, but the english translation is hilarious too as it's not quite correct, but you've got to know dutch to understand that. Anyway it's my first 16 seconds of edited film and I wanted to poll out if it were good or not. Seems some of you like it, so I'll continue. A lot more material is coming on btw, but filming's stopped because we're very busy at school.

Ah, I see. I have seen commercials like that here too where it is a response to something the governament or a political party has put into action.

whoa dont think i've done it for that, no. It's just that I'm going to make a feature length film, and I've been in film theatres enough to know that film can't exist without commercials, so let's start making some commercials then! I've got full scripts for 11 more commercials and concepts for another 15 or so, so It'll be something like Kentucky Fried Movie: 30 minutes of commercials, then 20 minutes of movie and another 30 minutes commercials. They're all pretty funny in a way, and this one's the shortest. Next up to publish: "Drift!" (parody on Dreft, a dishwash detergent that claims to be able to clean ridiculously large amounts of grease etc.)
