Receivers

Post by JohnTravoltaisMyHero »

I'm planning on starting on a home theater system, possibly sometime by the end of this year. I'm interested in starting off with a very good receiver, then eventually speakers. I've only got a limited idea as to what to look for (like cable connection types).

But as far as specs (i.e. ohms), I'm a bit clueless. I'd like suggestions as to what I should be looking at and why. For receivers and even speakers.

Exactly what do you lot mean by receivers? Is that like the decoder box for your cable or what?
