helicopter !

Post by stickmurder30 »

I did that short "movie" : http://sm.stickthemepark.com/copter.mov showing an helicopter moving from the top to the bottom of the screen. I did it using 3 layers composited in adobe after effect , its pretty simple and easy to do ... and I decided to share it with you !!!!

Pretty cool, although it looks the camera is below the helicopter and the sky is going straight
EDIT: Ok i looked at it a little more closesly it looks pretty good just at the end when the helicopter leaves off the screen i guess otherwise great job!

Nice job. Are you planning to use that in a film, or was it just for fun?

It looks good, I just think the camera placement needs to be changed or something with the sky needs to be changed.

Just remember, the key to realism is in the imperfections. I render in noise, texture bumps, film grain, slight shakiness, small amounts of blur, and lens effects into my 3d animations to make them look more realistic.

A good thing to keep in mind, is you want to keep a visual in sight for the audience to base their perspective on. For example, you show a partial horizon. :)

That looked abfab, although as a few folks have said, if you adjusted the engle that the helicopter is flying it would be incredible!

Well done! Very convincing otherwise!
