Deinterlacing Footage in Adobe Premiere 6.5 or After Effects
I am a beginner so don't laugh!:D
How do you deinterlace footage in either of these programs?

That is the way you deinterlace footage in every Premiere version. Except in pro, you have to go to the top menu, but you end up in the same place, anyhow. Go to video options and select the box that states Always deinterlace. Piece of cake!Originally posted by Ornsack
In Premiere 5.1 you deinterlace by right clicking footage, selecting 'frame options', and then 'fields'.

If you're deinterlacing for that "film look," (in Premiere 6.5) right click on the video, go to "Video Options," then "Frame Hold...," check the "Deinterlace" box, and change the alternate rate to 24 fps, and check the "Frame Blending" box.

Don't do it film fanatic, your image will jerk exactly once a second and it looks horrible. Trust me, I tried it several times before being told that they don't use framerates of less than 25 for television output over here
