Test footage from my new and improved homemade camera crane!

Post by John Groshko »

I've made quite a few modifications to it since I last used it and it seems to work pretty damn good. Anyways, tell me what you guys think of the vid.

If it wasn't for the cronic over-exposure they'd easily be the most professional shots I've ever seen on this website ;)

I need a Johnny Jib and I need it RIGHT NOW.

Oh yeah, the movie is going to look very good :) Sorry I don't have any plans (since I didn't use any) but it's just built like any other jib basically - so it should be pretty simply to figure out. The way the jib was before I modified it it was able to come apart - but now that I've added the control arm on top it would be a pain in the @ss. But i only plan on moving the jib in one piece anyways. My only concern about that is that it weighs about 200-250 pounds with all the counter-weights and stuff - but if you have enough guys you should be able to move it :)

Seriously, if you built these you could easily sell them and make a nice profit...

Looks sexy. If only I had the materials and expertise to build one. And somewhere to store it.
