RE: Redux Demo Reel
Hmm...this doesn't seem to be playing. I went to your youtube homepage, and this video seems to be 5 seconds long. Is it the right one?

RE: Redux Demo Reel
The dolly was very good. What did you use, seeing as how the ground looked rather bumpy. A car or moped or atv?
I liked the scene where you did the vertigo effect. Camera a bit jumpy at parts but perhaps you meant for that to add to the effect.
And of course the 3D animation was stellar. Was it hard to learn to do that?

RE: Redux Demo Reel
we built a dolly, it kinda sucks, we need to re-think it, its heavy, its big, and it makes a ton of movement and noise
what vertigo effect?
the 3d, well i am a quick learner, you can place anything in front of me, that i like, and ill learn it... about 4 months of sitting and looking at the screen, no books or anything....

Dolly shots looked really nice. The gunfire through the newspaper was pretty cool, except for the camera cut to a tripod shot- don't know why people feel the urge to put things on tripods when they're doing a big shot (I tend to do it too). The guy dying on the ground was long as hell. Color correction looked good. 3d was amazing!

yeah, i should have shortened it, but i'm lazy
thanks for the color correction compliment
yeah i was amazed when i first saw the outcome of my 3d
The contra-zoom was cool, but maybe a little slow. The 3d animation was cool. The bullet through the newspaper was alright, but it would be fantastic if there was smoke seeping out of the holes and better sound effects.
The rest was kinda boring, your action scenes aren't great either, they were slow and not threatening... like alot of other peoples. The acting wasn't great either, he was smiling when he got shot at a close range with an automatic rifle, and there was no blood. Try make things realistic.
I like watching people movies though, don't let me sound like I'm scolding you.

thanks for the tips rhys, yeah i made no blood or anything, i was just trying to get the cinematography of an action film down... i was also attempting to make them slow just to see if it could be done... my only part i would change is the slow motion of the guy falling (and he was clenching his teeth in pain, everyone thinks hes smiling)
