DEAD WEIGHT - zombie movie

Post by NGFilms03 »

Here's the teaser trailer for our horror flick we finished shooting last month and have almost finished editing:

<object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/QQW8FvC2Y6w"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/QQW8FvC2Y6w" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>

There's not much of a plot; it's just a typical zombie romp. We made it for a bit of fun and to get back into the swing of filmmaking (we hadn't shot much in a while) before starting MONSTERS.
I hope you guys like the trailer and are interested in seeing the finished product. It should be up soon.
Let me know what you think? :D

Looks interesting.

The scene with the radio announcer could use some more footage. Maybe a newscast about the zombies?

Well, here you go:

<object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/7-ItubJgIiQ"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/7-ItubJgIiQ" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>

That's the first half - second coming very soon, just a few things to tweak in the edit.
Let me know what you think, guys?

The trailer was rather lame to begin with, and the radio was going for way too long and was too calm.
The actual movie, there is alot of angles for how timid it is at the moment (she's cooking?). Oh no! Not 5 for dinner! He gets called a gaybo and has a tantrum, i guess he really is emo... most phones beep. You dont need 3 angles for a push, he also isn't very threatening. That emo is gross. They eye brow shift was lame. Dont people normally press numbers before they put the phone upto their ear? No news station would ever call them 'zombies' or 'undead', try strange psychotic canabilistic behaviour. *doorbell* i hate emos. Is that beer? Aren't you a little young? If its supposed to be a 'danger' thing or something, you fail. You should show him throwing the zombie off him and running for the door before he enters the room. How is it that the guy with a huge ego and too much confidence hides behing the girl? If its supposed to be him scared its horrible. Your yelling is weak. The scare wasn't anywhere near good enough to yell. Have him be all like 'jesus' then he tells them to get out. Try and make your own sound effects, that was lame.
The movie was interesting enough to continue watching. Try make it more exciting though, the acting is rather softcore. Sorry but its the harsh truth.
I hate these kinda zombie movies, they are done way too often.

Hey rhys,

Just so you know, your a miserable little boy with no talent and no future. You are going to live the rest of your life feeling so manically jealous of anyone who achieves ANYTHING, which is why you feel the need to tear about everything we've done. Everything you have posted on this website is laughable. You yourself are laughable. How about, instead of finding fault in everything a bunch of guys you'll never meet do, you grow some balls and maybe even make a movie. On second thought, don't waste your time. Anything you produce will be worthless.

Urm... No mate? We're 18, you douche. How old are you? 12?
It really is rich you calling us 'emo' - I remember when you had a strop on here and said you were gonna kill everybody.
Forth, i am homocidal, this is written about my life, and thats how it works, and if you dont like it...
That was mega funny.

Nice, some of the best amature work I have seen.
Two issues: 1) Do brittish people really say "dude" (Just asking, as I have no idea :D)
2) I'm not into the long hair emo-thing either, but whatever...

Thanks a lot :)
I really wanna show you guys the second half - it's just a case of my friend finishing the music. Taking loooooong. I suppose that's what happens when you decide to compose your own?

1) We do :D
2) This seems to be all anyone says... Does it really affect the characters/story/quality of the film at all? Does it really matter about someone's hair cut? This is a filmmaking forum, not a fashion one!
I'm not having a go at you, Puje. This thing is just getting irritating now...
