WildTurkey

Post by angusware »

This is the little film I made while bored, and decided to enter into tropfest. I got my rejection letter today, so I figure I can post it all I like...

<object width="425" height="350"> <param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/wfU8ErEJZuc"> </param> <embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/wfU8ErEJZuc" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="350"> </embed> </object>

comments? advice? questions regarding the current location of the turkeys?

Yeah it was quite good apart some awfull muzzle flashes and other effects. Ths melting was good. Did you do it on iMovie cause of those awful muzzle flashes, or did you intend it to look bad like that?

iT was done in iMovie, I was going to do good ones in motion or after effects but ran out of time for tropfest, i figure it adds to the cartoony looks,
after all...chickens don't fly...even when they're not dog toys.

WHAT HE SAID ^^^^ AND: um, Jperson, the idea of the forum is to watch and comment constructively, there is something called tact when talking about something you dislike
around the person who made the thing, saying it's awful or terrible and going on about how bad it is isn't going to help the next one be better, so if you
want to see a good film (and I doubt you do) then help make it better with proper constructive criticism.

Wo! Wait a sec. What the hell is everyone turning against me for? ALl I did is post something and you're bloody blowing up in my face. The same thing happened to me and when I said roughly what you just said everyone said that 'I couldn't take critisim!'

Now are you reffering to thi bit:
Did you do it on iMovie cause of those awful muzzle flashes, or did you intend it to look bad like that?

OK I 've read and you took it the wrong way! the 'or did you intend it to look bad' should probably hav been: 'or was that the look you were going for?'. I was simply asking whether you had meant the muzzle flashes to look like they did. I wasn't using that to get at you.

Next time please don't blow up at me. Oh and also you said:
talking about something you dislike
around the person who made the thing, saying it's awful or terrible and going on about how bad it is
SO you're saying I could be nice to you when you're around then say what an utter idiot (not that I think that ;)) you are when you are not around.

Just an update, WildTurkey got played at a statewide film festival lasy night, some people even laughed and clapped.

Also, about the orange bit on the gun, I know it looks tacky but I was filming in a park and that orange thing is the only thing that police use to tell guns from real guns.
Tasmania is a bit uptight seeing as about 10 years age to biggest one-man massacre occured here, and a man has already been arrested for shooting in the park.
I figured that maybe I should keep it on...

Good Idea. I need to get a rent-a-crowd of crew because this film was a one-man job. Perhaps some clapper boards too!

Funny story I saw in my local newspaper a year ago. People heard a gunshot, called police and they were there in maybe 10 minutes. They saw a car with the doors open, a lifeless man, and brains all over the interior. Turns out it was a movie being shot and the people actually shot at a mannequin for their movie to get it look as realistic as possible.
