Actors

Post by thecrowdravin »

Ok I no I could use friends but since I’m only 14 and the majority of my friends are horrible thespians, what is the easiest way to get locale actors to work on your project. Both young and old.

EDIT

I forgot to mention all actors must be totally free!!

youre 14 so you should be in highschool right? or be there next year. But anyways, talk to people in the drama club and class. Ive gotten about 8 people from there before to work on a friends project. The only thing about drama people is that theyre used to the stage acting, you gotta get them to tone it down a bit on film. Dont want them to come across as...er....flamboyant.

Yeah, drama acting is way different from film, not only do they try to project their voices alot but they usually overact.

Ich, over-acting is not a fair comment DEDFX, the demands of the theatre are very different from film, however, it is an important point that directors should be aware of, that most acting training stems from theatre, with varying consequences for most folks student films etc

The thing is to have a definite plan for a flick and seem confident. People are attracted to organised and confident projects/people
