New skit/test MATRIX, BULLET TIME, SPR, BOB VIDEO INSIDE!!!

Post by Magic-Man »

Im glad the title got your attention. As i recently fixed my camera, i thought i would try out a little bluescreen, lighting and colour test. I was inspired kinda by the Black Jack film that was recently posted by Moriarty so cheers for that. Enjoy

I thought "Oh cr**, someone on this forum's trying Bullet Time again"

Was very good though! Was it just a speeded up camera movement in front of Greenscreen?

Totally doesn't fit the film noir look but all good and shot very well!

Cheers. I know it doesn't fit that genre, i just made a skit to test out the look of noir and bluescreen, and they dnt really fit but i am too lazy to make two tests so i crammed it into one.. Anyways yeh some of it was sped up, but the movement of the camera was artificial as well as the zoom.

Good job... I really liked it! I liked the camera angles, especially the Dutch angles. I also liked the feel of the movie, and thought the B&W added alot. Yeah, wasn't really a matrix type movie, but I thought it was great!! The only thing I would work on is the blood... looked a little fake when it landed on the screen. If you would of taken out the blood that stayed on the screen, and just have the squirting blood, I think it would've been a little nicer... but other than that, awesome job!!

I like it. Even if the gun wasn't aimed in the right direction.

I thought it was well done. I had to watch it a few times just to get what was going on but still good job.

ookay, that looked pretty good except thats not bullet time, bullet time is where everything is super-slo-mo and you can see the bullet(s) oh yeh and the gunshot sounded like a capgun

it was a joke fool, and my cpu got recently wiped so i have no sound effects, i just happened to stumble across that sound effect. I thought it was suitable as it had no reverb and sounded like the shot was inside.

Bullet time is actually just an effect of the camera moving in realtime while the subject moves in slow motion, it has nothing to do with bullets. Its been used in many things, The new Halifax ad (gives you extra) used it.

Ok i don't care if it is bullet time or not, it was a title to attract people because film makers were always trying to recreate the effects in the matrix, i didn't intend for the test to contain matrix effects.

Nice try man, worked quite well. I don't think i need to echo the "doesn't work with noir" genre, but i do have to say kudos for filming it as a film noir.

same idea. The continuety in yours isn't very good, and the back plate isn't synced up very well with the movement (not that mine is great)
