The Last Defence (after almost 2 years) is finally on line!

Post by tallman_house_pictures »

Well, I finall got the enery to post The Last Defence online.
We made this film almost 2 years ago, and I'm sure it shows in the film.

When I went back and watched it after almost a year, I realized how advanced somethings were and some amateurish mistakes we also made. The film was also made befor I had any of my deactivated weaponry.

Please, take a look and tell me what you think.

There will be an update with more info on tallmanhousepictures.com soon.

that was gurd

handy to have those bitching shovels lying about i must say,

there are a few glitches that i picked up upon, hair cuts for one and poor acting, but it was well edited and had a good soundtrack

What's the deal with the super anamorphic widescreen? Anywho, it was a pretty decent film in my opinion and I thoroughly enjoyed it, I mean it has been a while since you've made something. The framing was good for the most part, there'd be a few moments the tilting and pans were a bit sketchy. Most of the sound effects were good, the pistol in the beginning sounded too muffly. The fading montage helped to keep the flow as opposed to watching an extra 15 minutes on the death of a friend.

The things that pointed out as the weakest parts of the film was definetly the acting. I must of saw Carrot Top (that's what I'm going to call the kid) as a Axis and Ally. Or maybe it was just because so many of you have long curly hair. Anyway, if/when he was a Nazi he was smiling and not taking cover. There was the commanding officer who was like...ten. Also, near 7:06 all the sudden the aspect ratio changed. Finally, the ending was a bit cliqued but that's how most WWII movies are ending these days.

So to conclude, I did enjoy it. Great Job and good luck with the rest of your D-Day Doc.
