Looks awesome...
Truggy, switching from Mac to PC or Pc to Mac?
There's a lot of games coming for Mac, Quake 4, CoD2. I hope they support games more, and lower the price...$50 for KotoR and $20 for Xbox...

Mac Gaming... Haha. Not likely. They just wanted a new processor, IBM wasn't fufilling their needs.

Alove's right. Just about all pc's are using an amd processor, they are a lot cheaper, a lot higher quality, and a lot faster! Especially in dual-processors! Microsoft doesn't use IBM anymore, because they coudn't compete with AMD.

Well i have to think about this :: I have to think ultimately what will be the best one...i have disposable income of $1,437.04 in my bank account....Im toying with gettin an AMD athlon 3800 + really neat system....or i could go MAC...gonna hold off a bit, and wait to see which is better for gaming ultimately. Right now, im sick of viruses etc...Mac will soon have those problems though, the more the user base goes MAC...the more problems there are... :?

I just bought the new iMac Intel 17" a few weeks ago...the switch to mac is actually pretty easy and it's a very good computer.Every operating system has it's pros and cons,so I also use my PC for video editing,DVD backup etc...You have to try working in OSX environment for a while before you decide to switch.A mac offers many things a pc can't offer but I'm pretty sure that pc is going to have the lead in games for many, many years (primarily because of the fact that macs use open gl for games)

People, I don't know people bother with PCs, cause they're a load of c***. They have terrible interfaces, bad help, crash, get viruses, look horrible, and Mac has great features like iMovie and GarageBand - which you just don't get on PCs unless you pay about £300.

I have one of each of the macs. I have a powermac G5 with powerPC processors and a macbook (black one) with an intel duo core processor. The intel seems just as good... the only prob is that photoshop has to run over rosetta on hte macbook.... so its abit slow

Windows Movie Maker is a load of cr**. Check out: http://movies.apple.com/movies/us/apple ... 80x376.mov I used a PC for a very long time and I switched to mac not because of the Intel swich, but because I tested one out and fell in love with it. It has a simplier interface, no system registry, and of course no viruses, crashing, and almost every other PC problem you can find. If you think a PC is more superior and that Microsoft is better than Apple than maybe you should ask yourself why in the world has Microsoft ripped off everything apple did with Tiger when they designed Vista. They just renamed everything: They updated Search to be like Spotlight, they started using 3D cross window effects, and not to mention creating gadgets which is obviously a widget. Too bad that all of that is what Apple had already done, and now we are all looking forward to Leopard which will continue to kick Microsofts a**. Furthermore, who gives a cr** about Windows Movie Maker and iMovie. iMovie may be a cr** load better than Windows Movie Maker, but if you are really into film and TV you will love a mac for one really good reason: Final Cut Pro, ecspecially since the entire industry is begining to switch to Final Cut Pro from Avid. Face it PC's are primative cr**.

I don't know why the heck ya'll complain about viruses and crashes and cr**... I've used this computer every day for about 2 years straight without any problems whatsoever. I never get spyware, or adware, or bots or popups. Then again, maybe it's because I don't use limewire, P2P software, or download porn. The only reason Macs don't experience viruses is because them people who create them have long realized it's not worth the trouble considering how few Mac users there are. Stop hasseling Microsoft and learn how to use a real computer for once.

I never bothered Mac users. So what's up? Does somebody have to stand up for the PC guy? Now go and pay your thousands for a Mac. I can upgrade anything I want, buy any specific part I need, and still outperform any of yer Macs for less than a third of what you paid. Hah!

So then why is it Mac is adopting processors designed for the PC?

yep I am with you Epsilon. I would rather my cheaper to buy and cheaper/easier to update pc any day. Also I have more support and application access this way than if I went MAC. Nothing wrong with the PC interface! Explain to me what is wrong with it from an interface design point of view compared to the MAC. A PC looks as good as you make it. Really it is just a tool and not a fashion accessory. I can acces spare parts at almost anytime from friends or the local PC shop (do that with a MAC). There is stacks of help out there for PCs because so many people use them and try to violate them. Hackers make Billy Gates happy as they work out more and more problems for him to fix and polish. I use a simple free combination of AVG and Spybot and I have not had issues in years. I also avoid porn sites lol

My sister has a glorious iBook but she's switching back to PC because there's not a lot she can do with it other than go online (her creativeness involves paints and pens rather than Photoshop etc) Shame really, but hey.

Bottom line is, they all do the same thing, pretty much. Don't be computerist!

Yeah, you have to pay more for a Mac, but there's a reason for that.

The only way you can save money on a comparable PC is to build one your self...which is fine if you are inclined to do so...but then you have to add cost for the windows OS. If you're not, you're stealing - caveat, Linux is free, but software is limited in functionality as you wait for the Open Source projects you want to release a usable version. The only *real argument* is what you're more comfortable with in the way of usablity...even the game scene is changing. EA just announced simultaneous releases for their upcoming games and some of the bigger games released within a month for the mac...other's will join as the dev dollars gain parity under the intel platform with the PC world. The games developers will start making more simultaneous releases now that cross-development time has shortened. They now have a chance to make the millions of Mac users pay their bills.
Low/No budget cinema that looks like a million Bucks!
